What makes a difference in loading

A careless load can destroy an expensive piece of furniture in two minutes. Our team follows a set sequence of steps to make sure that doesn't happen:

1. Before we touch a single item, we check the sizes of doors, elevators and stairwells.
2. We plan where each item goes inside the truck, so the unloading order matches the rooms at the new place.
3. We protect wall corners, floors and elevators with the right blankets.
4. We tie down the load inside the truck with straps — not "it'll hold from the pressure."

Equipment we always carry

• Hand trucks for boxes and heavy items.
• Tie-down straps in various lengths and strengths.
• Shoulder lifting straps for safe two-person lifts.
• Protective blankets for furniture and walls.
• Ramps for smooth movement of hand trucks and appliances.
• Furniture lifts for floors without an elevator or for bulky items that don't fit through stairwells. By prior arrangement.
• Furniture disassembly tools.

Floor without an elevator? Not a problem

In Athens it's common to move out of an older apartment block with no elevator, or with one too small for a sofa. In these cases we use a furniture lift from the balcony — the move finishes 3 times faster and doesn't wear out the crew.

Sidewalk parking permit

If the truck needs to park on a street with restrictions, we handle the sidewalk parking permit from the local municipality. That way you avoid fines and delays on moving day.

A smooth flow at the new home

When unloading, we don't leave you with 80 boxes in the living room. Thanks to the per-room labels, every box and every piece of furniture goes straight to the right place. If unpacking is part of the deal, we start with the priority rooms (kitchen, bedroom) so you can sleep well on the first night.
